Your safety is a constant priority at Staff-Fast. We are committed to providing a safe, healthy, and professional working environment for our employees, temporary staff, and clients. Every reasonable precaution is taken to minimize workplace risks and promote safe working practices.
Our Operations and Office Managers conduct regular workplace inspections and safety meetings to identify potential hazards and continuously improve our safety procedures. Safety is a shared responsibility, and every employee is expected to follow established safety rules and use good judgment while working at a client location, on the road, or in any work-related environment.
Staff-Fast takes workplace safety seriously. Willful or repeated violations of safety rules, unsafe behavior, or failure to follow required safety procedures may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or assignment.
Any injury, accident, illness, or unsafe incident that occurs during work or while performing work-related duties—no matter how minor—must be reported immediately to your supervisor or Staff-Fast representative.
Prompt reporting allows appropriate first aid, medical attention, documentation, and corrective action to be provided. Small injuries or unsafe conditions can become serious if they are ignored or not addressed promptly.
To protect yourself, your coworkers, clients, and others in the workplace, all Staff-Fast employees and assigned personnel must observe the following safety rules and guidelines:
Follow all safety procedures and instructions established for your assignment and workplace.
Report any sickness, injury, accident, or unsafe condition immediately to your supervisor or Staff-Fast representative.
Do not attempt to treat serious injuries yourself or provide medical treatment beyond your level of training.
If an injury may involve a fracture to the legs, back, or neck, loss of consciousness, or a serious head injury, do not move the injured person unless there is an immediate danger requiring evacuation. Contact emergency medical services and follow the instructions of authorized personnel.
Do not wear loose clothing, jewelry, or other items that could become caught in machinery or moving equipment.
Never distract another employee while they are operating machinery, driving, lifting, or performing a potentially hazardous task.
Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, goggles, gloves, masks, hard hats, hearing protection, safety footwear, or other protective equipment required for your assignment.
Use safety equipment and protective devices correctly. Never remove, disable, bypass, or modify safety guards or protective devices.
Keep aisles, emergency exits, fire doors, stairways, electrical panels, fire extinguishers, sprinkler heads, and other emergency access areas clear at all times.
Keep your work area clean, organized, and free from unnecessary hazards.
Use compressed air only for its intended purpose. Never use compressed air to clean clothing or direct it toward yourself or another person.
Follow all workplace smoking and vaping regulations.
Shut down and properly secure machinery or equipment before cleaning, repairing, adjusting, or leaving it unattended, unless the equipment is specifically designed for continuous operation.
Only trained and authorized personnel may operate forklifts, powered industrial trucks, tow motors, lifts, or other specialized equipment.
Never ride on equipment or vehicles unless the equipment is specifically designed and authorized for passengers.
Operate vehicles, machinery, and equipment only at a safe speed appropriate for the working conditions.
Running, horseplay, practical jokes, and other unsafe behavior are strictly prohibited in the workplace.
Never block access to fire extinguishers, emergency equipment, exits, or emergency response areas.
Do not tamper with electrical controls, switches, wiring, panels, or other electrical equipment.
Do not operate machinery, tools, vehicles, or other equipment until you have received appropriate instruction and authorization.
Follow all safety instructions provided by Staff-Fast, the client, supervisors, and authorized workplace personnel.
Report unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, missing safety guards, spills, leaks, or other hazards immediately.
Use designated walkways and passages when moving around the workplace. Never take unsafe shortcuts through restricted or hazardous areas.
Lift materials properly by using your legs and maintaining proper body mechanics. Ask for assistance or use mechanical lifting equipment when a load is too heavy or difficult to handle safely.
Never adjust, clean, lubricate, or repair moving machinery unless you are specifically trained and authorized to perform the task.
Keep machine guards and protective barriers in their proper position at all times.
Never throw tools, materials, equipment, or other objects in the workplace.
Clean up spills of water, oil, grease, chemicals, or other substances immediately or report them to the appropriate person if you are not authorized to clean them.
Wear appropriate clothing and footwear for your assignment. Open-toe shoes, sandals, or other inappropriate footwear are not permitted where safety footwear is required.
Dispose of trash, paper, waste, and other materials in the appropriate containers.
Do not engage in any activity that violates reasonable workplace safety practices or creates an unnecessary risk to yourself or others.
Follow all additional safety requirements established by the client at your assigned workplace.
Every Staff-Fast employee has a responsibility to remain alert and report potential workplace hazards. If you observe any of the following conditions—or any other situation that may create a safety risk—notify your supervisor or Staff-Fast representative immediately:

Employees assigned to such workplaces must wear the required footwear at all times while performing their duties. Sandals, open-toe shoes, slippers, or other footwear that does not meet the workplace safety requirements are not permitted where protective footwear is required.
Employees working in areas where there is a risk of flying particles, dust, chemicals, splashes, or other eye hazards must wear appropriate safety glasses or approved eye protection as required by the assignment.

All employees must wear seat belts whenever operating or riding in a vehicle while performing company or client-related business.
Employees who operate company, client, or work-related vehicles must follow all applicable traffic laws, workplace driving policies, and vehicle safety requirements.
